More women die of cardiovascular disease than all forms of cancer combined. Wear red on February 7 to remind women to take care of their hearts.
Here are some ways to reduce your risk of heart disease:
- Get a check-up
- Quit smoking
- Monitor your cholesterol and blood pressure
- Aim to get some physical activity every day
- Eat lean proteins, fish, nuts, whole grains and plenty of fruits and vegetables
