The HR Employment Coordination Committee’s consideration of college/unit plans ensures:
- Consistent HR practices are followed.
- The non-renewal of contracts, layoffs/furloughs, or reductions in force (RIFs) are based on nondiscriminatory reasons, such as quantity of work without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, or sexual orientation), national origin, disability, age (40 or older), or genetic information.
- The implementation plan is reviewed by people with expertise in several different areas.
- Internal communication is coordinated.
