The invitation to report information, insights, or concerns includes the following steps:
- Review results of university-administered surveys and assessments and identify areas of concern related to each unit.
- Review any concerns received from unit employees regarding practices related to equitable treatment.
- Interview human resources leads for each unit regarding areas of concern and unit-specific practices.
- Prepare a report with analysis and recommendations.
Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. is conducting an independent external review of University of Iowa employment policies and practices. The review began in November 2017 and is expected to be completed within a year.
Attorney Emily Pontius serves as primary point of contact for Fredrikson & Byron.
Maria Lukas, deputy general counsel, serves as review project manager for the University of Iowa.
Fredrikson & Byron will submit reports and recommendations to Cheryl Reardon, UI chief human resources officer and associate vice president, and Maria Lukas, UI deputy general counsel and project manager for the review.
