Catastrophic Leave List

The following individuals have met the requirements to participate in the Catastrophic Leave program.  Please note: individuals may be participating in the catastrophic leave program but not appear on this list.  It is optional for an individual to have their name posted.  The list is updated on a weekly basis.

If you would like to donate vacation time to any of these people, please fill out the appropriate form (PDF iconEmployee Catastrophic Illness Donation Form (pdf) or PDF iconFamily Catastrophic Illness Donation Form (pdf)) and send to: University Benefits, 120 USB, ATTN: Catastrophic Leave Donations.

Donated hours are irrevocably pledged. Leave is not taken from your account until the employee actually needs it. It could be several months to a year from the time we receive your donation form until the leave is used. In some cases an individual may not need all hours donated, therefore your donations may not be used.  Your pledge form will be returned when the person's eligibility for the program ends, and the hours will no longer be considered pledged.  This may take up to a year.

Frequently Asked Questions

The leave is not taken from your account until the employee actually needs it. It could be several months to over a year from the time we receive your donation form until the leave is used.

The employee has only used a portion of the pledged hours. The remaining hours will continue as pledged for future use. Your donation form will be returned if the employee no longer needs the hours, and your hours are no longer considered pledged.

Hours are not taken from a donor until they are needed. If the recipient leaves the program, your donation form will be returned to you, and your hours are no longer considered pledged.
