Strategic HR@Iowa: The Path Forward

Welcome to the University of Iowa’s HR conference website, where you will find the most up-to-date information about the inaugural HR conference brought to you by University Human Resources.

The conference will be held on March 9, 2017 at the Coralville Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.

This one-day conference will feature nationally-known and distinguished speakers with a focus on strategic HR and is being offered at no cost for attendees.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Dr. Nancy “Rusty” Barceló, former Assistant Provost and Assistant Dean with the Office of the Provost at the University of Iowa, and current President of Northern New Mexico College
  • David Forman, author of Fearless HR: Driving Business Results
  • Elise Foster, author of the The Multiplier Effect
  • Sarah Gardial, Dean, UI Tippie College of Business

We will be exploring the future of the HR profession and the path forward for our campus. The target audience for this conference is the University of Iowa HR community, with priority registration to those who are currently in an HR role and then to anyone who aspires to have an HR role on our campus.

Our conference team is hard at work planning an exciting conference. As a conference attendee, you will benefit from the insight and knowledge shared by several keynote speakers and multiple breakout speakers, and you will have the opportunity to network with your HR colleagues.

For those who are interested, we intend to provide HR Certification credits for participating in conference sessions.
