Robin Mermelstein https://www.ihrp.uic.edu/researcher/robin-j-mermelstein-phd  will share her research in the area of tobacco use with studies ranging from longitudinal examinations of the etiology of youth smoking to cessation interventions for adult smokers.  Dr Mermelstein is a distinguished professor of psychology and directs the Institute for Health Research and Policy at the University of Illinois, Chicago.  She will join us a Visiting Scholar on October 29-30, hosted by the IIPHRP.  This event will include a short lecture from Dr. Mermelstein as well as a panel discussion with local researchers and community members.
