I went in wide-eyed and bushy-tailed I guess. I just said, "I'm an open slate. Teach me and let me gleam from all of these experiences." I think probably the thing that I got out of it the most was some of the things that we learned. I was able to put to use even when I was in the course itself. For me, the greatest personal outcome of the program was unexpected and something that I have really taken to heart and was pretty delighted to discover. It was the strengths portion where everybody did their strength testing and talked a little bit about what their strengths were. It's a little bit of a paradigm shift in terms of not looking at myself critically, and instead, looking at some of the things that I can do well and I do well. Also, looking at others in that way is a great tool for embracing diversity.
