Throughout 2017, University of Iowa human resources professionals generated proposals to solve problems, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency campus wide.
The Year of Innovation initiative sponsored by University Human Resources asked questions that sought the community’s best ideas—local practices with potential to go bigger, new efforts to try and test, opportunities to team up, and more.
This site showcases Year of Innovation questions and responses organized around monthly themes. Find complete summaries, including downloadable reports on each month’s topic.
To date, the Year of Innovation has informed Talent@Iowa proposals in areas from talent acquisition to diversity, shaped new initiatives for supervisor onboarding and other priorities, and identified both general needs and specific programs for development.
