November: Recognition

Responses to Year of Innovation questions frequently identify recognition programs as a way to honor top performers, build engagement, and support enterprise goals. In November, we took a focused look at what makes a successful recognition program and—just before Thanksgiving—asked HR pros what they appreciate most about working at the UI.

  • Choose an idea to develop: Select a single, specific suggestion—big or small—that has potential for your unit and put it to work.
  • Keep the conversation going: Ask unit colleagues and leaders what they think of the topic at hand.
  • Think bigger: Don’t see any ideas that resonate? Develop another solution that better addresses your innovation goals.
