Involuntary Staff Termination Process Toolkit

The Toolkit for Involuntary Staff Terminations is available by contacting University Employee and Labor Relations at or calling 319-335-0052.  It is strongly recommended that the toolkit be reviewed and checklists completed by the supervisor and the local human resources representative working together prior to informing the employee of termination.  The toolkit supports the transition process when an employee is involuntarily terminated. 

The Toolkit was created to address key considerations and management best practices before, during and after the termination.
