Open dialogue is vital to successful communication. If you would like to enhance your day-to-day conversations, Crucial Conversations is for you. When people feel they can’t discuss difficult workplace issues, or be candid about performance, projects or quality, it can lead to low morale, reduced efficiency, increased costs and project delays. This training offers participants an opportunity to apply principles and skills in conversations with varying opinions, when stakes are high and emotions run strong. This three-part series will be held on the west-side campus, and will have a Health Care focus.
Objectives: (At the end of this course participants will be able to)
This training teaches how to:
- resolve disagreements
- build acceptance and overcome resistance
- speak persuasively, not abrasively, about high-stakes, emotional, or controversial topics
- foster teamwork and better decision-making
- build teams that work together and act with unity and conviction
