My Healthy LIFE is a seven-week wellness program that focuses on seven aspects of our lives which are known to help us stay healthy and increase our longevity. Each week concentrates on one of the seven concepts and includes four challenges and a TEAM BONUS Challenge. During the program, participants will earn 400 liveWELL Points to spend at the Wellness Store. The program runs February 4, 2019 - March 24, 2019.

My Healthy LIFE is a seven week, health awareness program that will focus on a holistic approach to your health.

  • Being active – Staying physically active throughout your life can reduce the risk of many health complications.
  • Live life with meaning – Having a sense of direction and purpose to your life gives you the drive to keep moving forward.
  • De-stress your life – Stress can be harmful to your health making it important to have under control.
  • Eat to satisfy – Eating until you are full helps avoid overeating.
  • Eating more fruits and vegetables – Eating a diet heavily plant based has been shown to decrease the risk of many health conditions.
  • Family first – Prioritizing your family can have a positive impact on your health and happiness.
  • Social circle – Having a strong support system is important to life and can help you get through any challenges you face.

Here's how My Healthy LIFE works...

  1. Register for My Healthy Life in My Health and Wellness, in Self-Service, under the liveWELL tab. 
  2. Each week, registered participants receive an email on Monday identifying that week's theme, the four challenges, that week's bonus code, and a TEAM BONUS Challenge.
  3. Submit the bonus code at My Health and Wellness, which is located at Employee Self Service. 
  • Participants are encouraged to complete at least two challenges before submitting their Bonus Code.
  • Bonus codes are worth 50 liveWELL points each and are valid until March 29, 2019.

Complete the TEAM BONUS Challenge with a group of co-workers and snag a picture of the group. Each week a participating group will be drawn for that week’s team prize! Learn more about the weekly drawings with the weekly emails.

Go to My Health & Wellness Portal in Self-Service, under liveWELL and click Register Now to sign up! Upon registering, you will earn 50 liveWELL points.

Week One: Being Active: February 4, 2019 - February 10, 2019

  • Take the stairs three days this week
  • Take a 20 minute walk five times this week at a brisk pace
  • Track your activity level each day this week
  • Move during your lunch break three days this week

TEAM BONUS Challenge One: How many steps can your group take in one hour? Post or email a picture with the number visible in the picture!

Week Two: Live Life with Meaning: February 11, 2019 - February 17, 2019

  • Set three goals for the week
  • Create a bucket list with at least three goals for 2019
  • Join a club, group, organization, etc.
  • Volunteer your time at a local organization

TEAM BONUS Challenge Two: Grab a group and collectively volunteer or do a good deed of service.

Week Three: De-Stress Your LIFE: February 18, 2019 - February 24, 2019

  • Get seven to nine hours of sleep for at least three nights
  • Create a realistic schedule of daily activities
  • Complete a yoga or meditation session
  • Ask friends or colleagues what they do to stay organized

TEAM BONUS Challenge Three: As a group, participate in a meditation or yoga class. Need an idea, try Progressive Relaxation or Energizing with Desk Yoga.

Week Four: Eat to Satisfy: February 25, 2019 - March 3, 2019

  • Eat slower by using a timer or taking breaks between meals
  • Use 10-inch plates or smaller for meals
  • Eat dinner at the table with no distractions
  • Rearrange the food pantry and fridge so healthy choices are in front

TEAM BONUS Challenge Four: As a group, perform an office cleanse! Remove completely or move unhealthy food to a low traffic area. Grab a picture in the clean space!

Week Five: More Fruits and Veggies: March 4, 2019 - March 10, 2019

  • Try two new fruits or veggies this week
  • Eat fruit and veggies for a snack three days this week
  • Pack lunch with fruits or veggies three days this week
  • Have a salad with your meal three days this week

TEAM BONUS Challenge Five: Enjoy a group lunch that is plant based. Snag a picture of everyone enjoying their fruits and veggies together!

Week Six: Family First: March 11, 2019 - March 17, 2019

  • Eat a meal with other people two times this week
  • Have a distraction-free conversation with a a loved one
  • Save one night a week for a game night or activity
  • Share how much you love your family by calling or sending them a note

TEAM BONUS Challenge Six: Recipe Exchange! Share your favorite recipes to make eating at home or with loved ones fun and healthy! Grab a picture of all the fun recipes!

Week Seven: Social Circle: March 18, 2019 - March 24, 2019

  • Schedule a regular task with someone (like grocery shopping with a friend)
  • Walk with a buddy one time this week
  • Reach out to three friends this week
  • Send an email or text of appreciation to a friend

TEAM BONUS Challenge Seven: Create cards of gratitude for co-workers and share them! Grab a picture of the process.
