Your life is busy. As such, the University provides options related to Childcare and Elder Care, Flexible Work Arrangements, and Financial Well-being Resources. Take a look at all of the information and resources to help you organize your life at work and outside of work.

Family Services

Provides information and referral assistance to students, staff and faculty regarding family issues, including childcare, elder issues, lactation resources and flexible work arrangements. For assistance contact the Family Services Office via email or phone at 319-335-1371.

  • Childcare Resources
    Provides resources, referrals and information regarding childcare for UI faculty, staff and students. 
  • Elder Care Guidance
    Provides information and referral on elder care issues, including on-campus appointments with a geriatric social worker at no charge to faculty, staff and students. 
  • Flexible Work Arrangements
    Provides consultation for supervisors and employees regarding flexible work arrangements.
  • Lactation and New Parent Resources
    Provides resources for on-campus lactation rooms, support for breast feeding and new parent resources.

UI Employee Assistance Program (UI EAP)

UI Employee Assistance Program (UI EAP) provides counseling, consultation and educational services designed to enhance the health, performance and well-being of individuals and their families. UI EAP staff will also work with you on challenges regarding financial planning. Financial Wellness 

UI Learning & Development

Provides a variety of classes and resources for faculty and staff regarding personal productivity, estate planning and personal finances. For assistance contact 319-335-2687.
