Employees may contact us by phone or email to schedule an appointment, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Or they may e-mail us at email@example.com. Limited evening appointments are available, and for crisis situations, same-day appointments can be arranged.
Employees may request release time from work for the initial UI EAP evaluation period. For subsequent appointments, employees may use available sick leave or vacation time as provided for in III-22.2 and III-23.2. of the operations manual. Employees scheduled to work the third shift may schedule appointments during office hours or by emailing UI EAP at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Location of Counseling Services
The UI Employee Assistance Program (UI EAP) offers appointments at several convenient locations including: University Services Building (USB), UI Hospitals and Clinics, the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center (CRWC), as well as an off-campus location in the Iowa City community.
Referrals for Ongoing Needs or Specialized Services
If additional counseling is needed beyond the four UI EAP visits, the UI EAP clinician will assist in identifying appropriate resources and can help facilitate the referral to other University or community providers. We often make follow-up contacts to ensure your individual needs are being met. Employees are responsible for payment of services obtained from other agencies or providers.
