Choose from two different routes on the main University of Iowa campus:
1-Mile Route: This photo depicts a map of the University of Iowa Campus with a one-mile walking route mapped out. This route encircles the Pentacrest, the Old Capitol and the downtown Iowa City area. See written directions below.

- This route begins near the Pentacrest on the corner of East Jefferson and South Clinton St in front of Macbride Hall.
- Walk south on S Clinton St towards the Old Capitol Mall.
- Take a left at the Pancheros on the corner of S Clinton St and E Washington St.
- Once on E Washington St, walk east until you reach S Dubuque St, one block past Target.
- Take a right and walk through the Pedestrian Mall Area.
- When you reach the Graduate Hotel, walk through the walkway to get to the other side of the Graduate Hotel.
- Continue to follow S Dubuque St until you reach Estela’s Fresh Mex on the corner of S Dubuque and E Burlington.
- Turn right and head West on E Burlington St.
- Continue West on Burlington St until you reach the Lindquist Center on the corner of Burlington and Madison St.
- Turn right and go north towards the Pentacrest.
- When you get to the corner of Madison St and E Jefferson St, turn right, and go up the hill back to Macbride Hall, where you began your walk.
2-Mile Route: This photo depicts a 2-mile walking route through the downtown Iowa City area. See written directions below.

- This route begins on the corner of E Washington St and Dubuque St in front of the Raygun store.
- Head north on Dubuque St. Continue north on Dubuque St until you reach the corner of N Dubuque and Ronald St (across from Sigma Chi Fraternity).
- Turn right onto Ronald St and continue east five blocks until you reach the corner of Ronald St and N Dodge.
- Head south on Dodge St. Continue on Dodge St until you reach College Green Park on the corner of S Dodge and E Washington St.
- Turn right and walk west on E Washington St.
- Walk west on Washington St until you reach the Raygun store on the corner of E Washington St and Dubuque St, where you started your walk.
