I spy with my little eye... Herky! Join fellow colleagues and community members by participating in Herky on Parade for this year's Campus Wellness Scavenger Hunt. This fun program will challenge you to locate specific Herky statues around campus and enter bonus codes to earn wellness points.
What is the liveWELL Campus Wellness Scavenger Hunt?
The Campus Wellness Scavenger Hunt is a self-paced activity to locate campus treasures. This year's program will run from May 8 to August 30, 2024 and will feature Herky on Parade, a public art installation featuring 100 Herky the Hawk statues across Johnson County. You can complete the scavenger hunt by walking around to Herkys on campus or you can participate virtually.
For those participating in-person, you can use the map provided to map your walking route. For those participating virtually, join in on the learning and appreciation by viewing the links and resources provided for more on information.

Bonus Code Questions
Once you have visited each destination, submit the answer to the bonus code trivia question to earn wellness points. Trivia questions can be found at MyLiveWELL Portal! Each Herky is worth 50 wellness points. All bonus code answers must be submitted by August 30, 2024.
Frequently Asked Questions
The liveWELL Campus Wellness Scavenger Hunt is for everyone! Only University of Iowa faculty and staff in 50 percent or greater regular positions are eligible to earn liveWELL points, but you’re encouraged to invite family, friends, or coworkers to join you on your adventures and learning.
- In team meetings or huddles, "visit" one or more of the destinations that are a part of the Campus Wellness Scavenger Hunt. You can view and discuss the space or ask for a volunteer to do a 'report out' on the space to learn more about its history or significance.
- Schedule a walk to one or a few of the destinations with co-workers; be sure everyone in the work group is included. Arrange transportation for those who cannot walk to the space. Agree to Zoom, Skype, or FaceTime someone who is not on campus.
- Invite team members to share their own favorite spaces or creative endeavors - in person or virtually!
