Iowa City has once again been named one of the best cities to live in America.

"The phenomenon of 'Iowa Nice' is alive and well in Iowa City," says Livability.com. "The community of 78,000 is tight-knit, and the Hawkeye spirit is alive and well. Families enjoy exploring over 50 parks, open spaces, and natural areas, as well as craft breweries, locally owned shops, and a wide assortment of delectable restaurants."

While the University of Iowa is the city's largest and most notable attraction, standardized testing leader ACT, Inc. also has its headquarters here.

Iowa City's designation as a UNESCO City of Literature and home to the Iowa Writers' Workshop are just a few of the features that make it unique.

Iowa City is often noted as one of the best college towns in America, alongside cities including Charlottesville, Virginia; Ann Arbor, Michigan; Boone, North Carolina; and Oxford, Mississippi.
