UI LEAD (Leadership, Education, Assessment, and Development) is a comprehensive leadership program where mid-senior level staff and faculty work directly with peers, a coach, and leaders in their organization to further their career goals and effectiveness as a leader. Our approach is based upon the creation of a powerful partnership between the participant, the participant's supervisor/administrator, and their UI LEAD coach. 

Fee: $300 for UI Employees (additional $195 fee with optional 360 assessment)
Contact Hours: 12.5 hours in class; 3 hours coaching
Timeline to Finish: 3-4 months
Audience: Current faculty and staff leaders in expanding roles are nominated

The Executive Leadership Academy (ELA) – Higher Education is a comprehensive and immersive program that prepares UI leaders to meet the organizational goals of the University of Iowa now and into the future. ​This program is best suited for leaders who are new to or moving into more strategic roles and have demonstrated strong mid-level management experience. 

Fee: $2000 Academy fee for UI employees (scholarship may be available)
Contact Hours: Approximately 10 hours per/month
Timeline to Finish: 7 months
Audience: Mid-to-senior level faculty and staff leaders; ELA-Higher Education is a nomination/application process. 

The Iowa Academic Leadership Academy (IALA) is designed to assist new or aspiring leaders (e.g., DEOs, program directors, associate deans) in making a successful transition to these key campus leadership roles. OE helps to support the IALA through facilitating Executive Coaching sessions.
