Quarterly Tips for Activity

Hey there!

It’s Erica again, your liveWELL Health Coach. I’m back with another MoveWELL message to help you keep moving in ways that feel doable (and maybe even a little fun).

Ever feel like you’re either all in or completely off track when it comes to being active?

You start the week with big plans, like early morning workouts, long evening walks, and maybe a yoga video before bed. But then life happens. You hit snooze, your day fills up, and suddenly it feels like the whole week is a wash.

I’m here to clear something up.

You don’t need an hour, a gym, or a perfect plan to be active. Sometimes, all you need is five minutes. Seriously. Just five minutes of movement can boost your energy and mood, and if done consistently, it can significantly increase your total activity minutes.

If your day is packed or your motivation is low, give yourself permission to do something small. Need some inspiration to get started? Try this:

  • Take the long route to the breakroom

  • Do 10 bodyweight squats every time you refill your water bottle

  • Walk around the block while you listen to your favorite music

  • Stretch during TV commercial breaks

  • Explore guided video options in the Physical Activity Resource Library

Instead of waiting for the perfect time to move more, start where you are. Focus on small wins and keep showing up, even if it’s just for five minutes.

Here’s your challenge:

Set a five-minute timer and go for it. Your future self will thank you.

You've got this!
