
liveWELL is excited to be offering YNAB’s 8-week “Doing Money Differently” program, starting June 23, 2025. This self-paced course also includes access to the YNAB financial management platform at no cost ($150 value). Completion of the program will provide participants with a complimentary 1-year subscription to the YNAB app ($109 value).
What is YNAB?
YNAB (You Need a Budget) is a program designed to support financial well-being through building skills and awareness in spending and saving behaviors. Because of its industry success, this tool is identified as one of the top tools in supporting financial well-being.
Why is liveWELL offering YNAB to UI employees?
Our goal is to support financial well-being. This tool offers a confidential, accessible, and flexible option through an industry validated program. liveWELL’s goal is to identify a meaningful tool to support the University of Iowa faculty and staff with their financial wellness.
What will employees be responsible for if they choose to participate?
To participate, you must:
- Submit this registration form by Friday, June 13 using your HawkID and University of Iowa email address. You will have the option of adding a personal email address if preferred for use in the program.
- Complete your 2025 Personal Health Assessment by Friday, June 13. This is a prerequisite for enrolling in the program.
- Starting June 23, complete 4 out of the 5 required educational modules over the course of the 8-week period.
- Provide feedback via a survey at the end of the pilot period.
What information will YNAB share with University of Iowa/liveWELL?
University of Iowa/liveWELL will have access to the names of the participants and feedback shared in surveys about participant stress and impact of using YNAB. No access to the employee’s financial information shared with University of Iowa/liveWELL.
