Dental II Plan Highlights
The University of Iowa Dental II plan offers comprehensive coverage with flexible network options. Members receive an annual maximum benefit of $2,000, including orthodontic benefits. The plan also features a College of Dentistry Incentive and a vision discount through EyeMed.
Costs
The University covers the total cost of employee-only and double spouse family coverage for the Dental II plan premiums and 80% of the coverage cost for the other family status options.
Providers
The Dental II plan has a 3-tiered network for coverage. Please note that you do not need to pick a dental provider tier before receiving care.
- Tier 1 - Preferred Provider Organization
- Tier 2 - Premier Network
- Tier 3 - Non-participating providers
Incentives & Discounts
Dental II offers plan members access to the Student Dental Clinic incentive, which helps increase educational opportunities for third—and fourth-year dental students.
Plan members can receive vision discounts through EyeMed providers.
