LivWell Seniors
University of Iowa Family Services partners with LivWell Seniors to help faculty and staff navigate the complexities of elder care. LivWell Seniors is a local, free information and referral service that connects families with resources specific to their needs.
From in-home assessments to developing tailored care plans, the specialists at LivWell Seniors are dedicated to simplifying the process of finding senior living facilities and professional elder care services.
In partnership with LivWell Seniors, the UI strives to provide employees with peace of mind by offering expert support.
UI employees can now take advantage of their new mobile app, LivWell Connects, to easily find resources or connect with a senior resource specialist. Once you've downloaded the app on the Apple App Store or Google Play, enter the code "gohawks1" to get started.
Services
Individual guidance
Senior resource specialists serve as personal and professional advocates, working closely with families to navigate a broad network of resources, including senior living communities, relocation and downsizing, real estate professionals, legal, and financial services. UI employees can meet with a senior resource specialist individually or with family members at no cost.
In-home assessment
LivWell Seniors can provide an in-home assessment and develop a personalized care plan to address the immediate and long-term needs of your family member(s).
Presentation opportunities
Senior resource specialists can present to your organization or department on a variety of caregiving topics. You can contact LivWell Seniors by phone or via email at info@livwellseniors.com.

The Csomay Center is a resource hub and community for anyone interested in aging and older adults.
The center connects community resources when there is potential for collaboration or partnership. It also connects the public to the University of Iowa and other resources that can assist with aging and caregiving needs. Additionally, the Csomay Center links researchers to populations who might participate in research or benefit from the educational opportunities provided by researchers.
