The University of Iowa is one of the few universities that operates its own water treatment plant. The plant purifies and distributes water across the university's campus and UI Health Care.
In addition to providing a cost-effective source of water for campus, the plant serves as a teaching facility for future engineers and water treatment specialists.

Notes: The Water Treatment Plant is across the street from the Power Plant. Please enter the plant at the east door by the loading dock, across from the Stanley Museum of Art. There is no public parking on site.
