This event is for UI Employees (Faculty and Staff). Open Enrollment for University Benefits is occurring during this time which is a unique event just for employees. Additionally, to control lines and space we focus this event to employees. Student Wellness offers several smaller Health Expo events around campus each September that are uniquely geared to students. https://studentwellness.uiowa.edu/programs/events

Our vendors at the event are volunteering their time away from their normal workday. They often do not have large staff to cover set-up, full day of tabling with little time for breaks, and tear-down. We want to prioritize the well-being of our event vendors and volunteers as well. At our last in-person event in 2022, most of the foot-traffic was between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

The goals of the health and well-being fair are to connect UI employees with resources available to them right here at the University of Iowa to support health and well-being. The long list of vendors who will be attending demonstrates that there is a focus on holistic well-being with a diverse group of departments and entities – there is something for everyone!

The UI Health and Well-Being Fair event focuses on programs internal to the University of Iowa and our campus partners to highlight the depth and breadth of service on campus. Coupled with the desire to have a smaller footprint to allow for more space given the ongoing desire to decrease the spread of illnesses like seasonal influenza and COVID-19, we are not currently inviting additional vendors. If you are from the University of Iowa and would like to participate, email livewell@uiowa.edu. If your department has a focus on learning, professional development, physical health (fitness, nutrition, sleep...), mental and emotional well-being, purpose and meaning in work, or an inclusive culture we’d love for you to reach out!
