Daniel Newton
Daniel Newton is an associate professor of management and entrepreneurship in the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. He received his doctorate at Arizona State University. Newton’s research focuses on speaking up and staying engaged at work. His research has appeared in premier management journals. A recipient of an eight-year NASA grant, he has conducted research with astronauts aboard the International Space Station, isolated crews in Houston, and cosmonauts in the Mars training facility in Moscow. Prior to academia, Newton worked in finance/strategy at a Fortune 50 firm. He and his wife are the proud parents of four children, who simultaneously bring them joy and stress them out. As a family, they love a good adventure, especially those that involve a National Park.
