As a benefit-eligible employee, you may choose to purchase voluntary insurance products through approved vendors. These programs are optional and offered at a discounted rate.
Premiums are paid through payroll deduction for employees who are paid monthly. The University of Iowa does not administer these plans but works with vendors to provide payroll deduction as a convenience.

- The university does not determine eligibility, premiums, or plan design
- These products do not include a university contribution
- Premiums are paid on an after-tax basis
- Expenses are not eligible for reimbursement through a Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

- liveWELL program
Provides programs, health coaching, and tools to support your physical and mental well-being. - Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Offers confidential counseling, consultation, and resources for personal, family, and work-related concerns. - UI Family Services / Work-Life Resources
Supports child care, elder care, parenting, and other family needs. - Additional wellness and support services
Includes resources for financial well-being, stress management, and overall quality of life.
