Complimentary Pay Appointments

Definition

Complimentary appointment defines an employment-related affiliation with the university through which the appointee typically provides a complimentary service and receives neither compensation nor fringe benefits.

Persons with complimentary appointments typically receive the following:

• Hawk ID
• Employee Self Service website access
• Campus email with "uiowa" address; may use remote access
• Campus wireless
• ProTrav
• ID card services
  • Library borrowing privileges
  • Access to Recreational Services at employee rates
  • Door access as provided by Marlock system
