1. Go to Employee Self-Service

  • Use your HawkID credentials to log in at hris.uiowa.edu and click the new “Apply for Job Opportunities” link under “Performance/Career” on the “Personal” tab.

2. Search for jobs

  • Use the “Find jobs by keyword” feature to search for the title (Job Title) or requisition (Requisition #).

For Merit Internal Searches

Departments may advertise merit positions using the Internal Competitive Posting process. Current departmental merit staff members who have permanent status are eligible to be considered for an internal competitive posting. This includes employees in the department who are eligible for the classification as a promotion, lateral or voluntary demotion. Any employee that wishes to be considered must be eligible for the classification and meet all approved special qualifications. The department must communicate the position to all eligible staff and allow for 10 calendar days for staff to express interest.
