Merit
Positions governed by Iowa Board of Regents Merit rules and procedures in the Iowa Administrative code. Includes Clerical, Technical, Blue Collar, and Security groups.
AFSCME Public Safety bargaining unit positions follow layoff procedures outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Professional and Scientific
Includes University of Iowa professional and scientific staff positions that are not governed by collective bargaining agreements.
