The summer 2024 in-person and online 2-week Summer Residential Program will run concurrently from June 16-29, 2024 (Session 1) and again from July 14-27, 2024 (Session 2).
The Iowa Young Writers' Studio offers 6-week online creative writing courses for high school students twice every year! We offer the online courses for 6 weeks every winter, mid-January through late February, and every summer, late June through early August.
The Iowa Summer Journalism Workshop gives students learning from a talented team of instructors, including professional journalists and college professors.
Iowa Lakeside Laboratory offers summer camps, no school camps, and homeschool explore camps.
Hustling Hawkeyes Youth Camps are designed for children aged 7 - 12, wanting to discover new talents, be active, and have fun while playing a variety of sports and recreational activities! All experience levels are welcome. Camp groups will be co-ed, a combination of all skill levels, and will only be split based on age.
The rowing program is designed to teach and promote the sport of rowing. Programs are designed for every skill level, from beginner to advanced.
Our tennis program provides a variety of options for adults and juniors of all experience levels.
The Iowa Summer Music Camps (ISMC) offers students musical training and experience beyond what may be available in their home schools, including group instruction, master classes, and classroom instruction in many phases of instrumental music. The entire program, together with a preview of life on a major university campus, is a valuable experience for young people, not only in music but also in human relations.
You can read all the college brochures in the world, but there is nothing like spending a week on a college campus to give you a sense of your future community. The Gateway Summer Program does exactly that. We bring high school juniors to campus during the summer before their senior year to get a glimpse of life as a college student.
The Jacobson Institute presents startup events engaging high school students and educators in one-day, fast paced entrepreneurial excursions. HS students work in teams with entrepreneurs/business & industry partners to solve problems they face using entrepreneurial solutions that drive innovation forward.
Each teacher registers a maximum of 10 students for the day-long startup event. Registration will be determined by a combination of the following: date of registration, number of schools/school districts represented.
