Who are the new Americans in the University of Iowa workforce? Learn their stories and share your own during a training workshop sponsored by Staff Language and Culture Services.
"Iowa's New Americans in the Workplace: Valuing Cultural Differences" will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11, 1-2:30 p.m., in Room 112, University Services Building (1 West Prentiss St.). The event is open to all UI employees. Register via My Training in Employee Self Service—search for course 975.
Claudio Hidalgo and Corrine Stanley will facilitate the workshop. Participants will be asked to share stories and concerns in small groups as they develop cultural awareness and navigate the path to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
