Internship/Practicum Program

Each experience is tailored to best fit each student’s personal interest in health promotion, specifically programming in a worksite setting. This includes programs that impact the environment and culture, help people reduce behavioral risk factors, or are designed to keep a healthy population healthy throughout their time as University of Iowa employees. One major project will be the cornerstone of the internship/practicum experience.

Examples of areas that a student may participate include:

  • UI Health Fair development
  • Health Coaching introduction
  • Marketing and communication
  • Social media
  • Health screenings including blood pressure, body composition, and cholesterol
