Teresa has an established reputation as a leader in the areas of Organizational Effectiveness, Threat Assessment and development on campus. She has been a tremendous partner in providing support and supervision for social work masters practicum students serving the Threat Assessment Program and the Office of the Dean of Students. Teresa’s leadership is invaluable and continues to benefit the HR enterprise on campus.

The Outstanding HR Business Partner of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding University of Iowa HR generalist or specialist who exhibits key HR leadership competencies in managing projects, programs and initiatives, implements plans, and supports the HR strategy of their organization.

Andrea served on the Libraries internal Critical Incident Management Team (CIMT), played a critical role in maintaining excellent HR Services, and is a trusted and relied upon resource for staff and employees. Her consistent demeanor and outward acceptance of new challenges and priorities has contributed to a positive work environment and inviting atmosphere within the Libraries. Andrea is an invaluable leader and trusted partner.

The 120+ UI Health Care HR Reps have continued to innovate during the numerous phases of the COVID-19 pandemic. They have helped to ensure high-quality patient care through their exceptional support of health care staff. The team was heavily involved with surge planning, as well as accommodating high staff absence rates due to quarantine and isolation. The Healthcare HR Reps have shown commitment and dedication daily to work, colleagues and patients.

They have made invaluable contributions to the development of new processes and protocols needed to support the enterprise under new, different and constantly evolving circumstances, while successfully navigating the immediate need for staffing changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
