Manda Marshall

Biography

Manda Marshall is a Senior IT Consultant for the ITS Enterprise Services AI Productivity Solutions group at the University of Iowa. She is passionate about using technology to improve productivity and learning. Working with staff from across campus, she encourages the innovative use of technology to address issues, while also emphasizing the importance of adhering to ethical standards in its application.

Manda holds a master’s degree in Learning Sciences from the University of Iowa. Her studies in Learning Sciences have enhanced her understanding of how people engage with and learn from technology, as the field integrates elements of education, psychology, and technology.

Manda has 10 years of experience as a technology instructor and trainer in both K-12 and higher education settings. Her classroom experience demonstrated the transformative power of technology in education. She continually strives to bridge the gap between technology and education, empowering users to implement it effectively.

Her research interests include how artificial intelligence (AI) influences human behavior, decision-making, and cognition. Manda also participates in higher education discussions about AI ethics, promoting responsible AI development, transparency, and fairness.
