Orkun currently serves as the Associate Vice President and Chief Budget Officer at the University of Texas at Dallas, overseeing the budget, student financial services, centralized business services and finance IT areas. He has led numerous initiatives in system development and process improvement, focusing on budgeting, business analytics, personnel actions, and long-term financial planning.

Orkun has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and an MBA, and holds Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.
